The Crocketteers Announce Reality Show

San Antonio, Texas The Crocketteers, San Antonio’s Premier Soccer Supporters Group, has entered into an agreement with BeIN Sport USA. The sports programming network will produce and air 6 1-hour episodes which will chronicle the group’s activities.

“As the fastest growing soccer supporters’ group in the world, we always knew this would be a part of our future history,” said James Hope, President of the Crocketteers. “This show will provide a template for all other soccer groups everywhere in the world and show them exactly how they can duplicate our success.”

Time Warner Cable, the North American broadcast partner for BeIN Sport, will air the show on its local Sports Channel in each TWC market. Dates and times detailing when the episodes will air have not been determined.

“We are proud to partner with The Crocketteers,” said Dallas Winston, Executive Director for TWC Sports Programming. “After our cameras followed the group’s leaders for 2 days, we knew this is exactly the type of reality drama we need to improve our ratings in this space.”

The show, entitled “Inside the Garrison”, will document the group’s support for the San Antonio Scorpions professional soccer team, the group leaders’ work behind-the-scenes, their tailgates and watch parties. The goal is to provide an honest presentation of how the leaders work together – and when they don’t.

The Crocketteers, founded in March 2009, are an independent soccer supporters’ group based in San Antonio, Texas. The group is named after iconic frontiersman Davy Crockett and pays homage to those who died defending the Alamo in 1836. They encourage other soccer fans to “Cross the Line” and join them to support soccer at all levels in San Antonio.

BeIN Sport is a global network of sports channels owned and operated by Qatari Sports Investments, an affiliate of Al Jazeera Media Networks. It currently operates three channels in France – BeIN Sport 1, BeIN Sport 2 and BeIN Sport MAX – and launched two channels in the United States (English and Spanish) in August 2012.
